The ADABI Master is a first-level Specializing Master’s programme organized by the University of Turin. It trains professionals specialized in the use of Data Science techniques for companies and institutions that, by their mission, deal with large amounts of data.
Why this master
The Master’s programme aims to provide students with up-to-date skills and knowledge on the latest developments in data analysis methodologies and data processing technologies.
Developed in close collaboration between university and industry partners, the programme promotes a pragmatic approach to Data Analysis and Data Science, combining solid theoretical foundations with real-world professional experiences and case studies.
Students will learn methodologies for Data Quality, Data Management, Statistical Data Analysis, Modelling (Analytics), Segmentation, and Scoring, from an operational perspective, using both proprietary statistical software (SAS®) and open-source tools (Python and R).
The programme covers the main data analysis methodologies following the typical Data Mining process: Sampling, Exploration, Transformation, Modelling, and Model Validation.
Modern Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques form a central part of the curriculum, with a focus on Text Mining and Large Language Models.
The meaning of Big Data will be clarified in practical terms across various contexts, including the Internet of Things.
Special attention will be given to communication, Data Visualization, reporting and storytelling design, and the communication of analytical results, including applications to social media.
The programme is designed to support learning for graduates from all disciplines, in line with the interdisciplinary nature that defines the modern profession of the Data Scientist.
